If you use LinkedIn, you should have received an email from them this week showing you which of your contacts either changed jobs or job titles in 2010. I’ll say that I knew some of these from the regular status updates and weekly notification email that I read from LinkedIn. However, I found this email to be of great value for me in relationship building and networking. The layout is brilliant because it shows the profile pictures of each person and if you mouse-over the picture it shows their name and provides a link to the online profile. What a nice compact way of giving you the ability to reach out to your network with a note of congratulations or a lead to reconnect.
